junior training sessions

Welcome to the world of junior triathlons! Our training sessions are designed for athletes of all ages and abilities. Led by Level 1 and Level 2 British Triathlon coaches, our sessions are focused on fun and progress. Join us for two swim sessions and one run-bike session every week and take the first step towards your triathlon journey. Whether you’re new to the sport or have been training for a while, our coaches will help you reach your full potential. So come on in, have fun and let’s get training!

Swimming Sessions

Welcome to our Junior Triathlon Club swim sessions! We are excited to offer training at the Holmleigh Park Sports Centre, located within Holmleigh Park School. Our dedicated 20m pool is reserved exclusively for our club on Monday and Thursday evenings from 7:30pm to 8:30pm during term times.

Our experienced coaches focus on technique, swim skills, endurance, and of course, fun during each session. We encourage our athletes to push themselves and strive for personal growth each week. Join us for a challenging and rewarding experience as you improve your swimming abilities.

Bike & Run Sessions

Welcome to our Junior Triathlon Club’s Bike & Run sessions, also known as “Bricks”! These sessions are designed to improve both endurance and technique for the cycling and running portions of a triathlon. Our experienced coaches will teach proper techniques for both sports, as well as the important art of transition, which is considered the fourth discipline in triathlon. It may surprise you, but even something as simple as quickly putting on your shoes can make a big difference in race performance.

Training sessions are held every Sunday morning from 9:30am to 11:30am at Oxstall’s Sports Park in Gloucester. Join us and take your triathlon skills to the next level!

Bike Maintenance

Knowing how to look after your kit is an essential part of Triathlon, so we support our team with guidance on how to maintain your bike and what to do if you have a mechanical in the middle of your race, or on the way to the shops.

We cover:

  • Puncture repair
  • Chaining a flat tyre
  • Indexing your gears
  • Adjusting brakes 
  • How to clean your bike
  • Checking your bike is safe to ride
